It is commonly claimed that the reason that we know the author of the fourth Gospel was also the author of the last chapter of that Gospel, is because the words and phrases are so alike in both. In other words, the last chapter is so similar to the rest of the Gospel that we can take for granted they were written by the same hand. Howbeit, as the reader can see from the above table, many of the important words and phrases in the last chapter are rarely if ever used in the rest of John's writings.
That not only doesn't support the same-writer theory, but actually suggests perhaps a different writer, as has been put forth in this Study. For example, the word dine was used three times in the Christian scriptures, never used in John's other writings but used twice in this last chapter. And the word feed was used nine times in the Christian scriptures, never in John's writings, but twice in this last chapter.
